The choice of being a doctor is ours..
We know we love to be in action to treat fellow humans ..
Not only as a mere job but also as a privilege
So,the joy of being a doctor is inside us being a doctor
It's our choice again if we believe that our actions are worthwhile

Then about patient's attitude
If you look at your MBBS batch, you won't find too many similarity
All are different
Same about patients. They are different in their character
Don't expect anything
Our work is Our reward apart from the stipend offcourse

It's too early to express that opinion after seeing 1/10000000 th of the population of this country.
If you truly wish to see people being grateful universally, decide to work after your residency in the most rural areas
They will workship you

Though I share your agony of seeing ungrateful patients,
I will not compromise my happiness and joy after working so hard because of them

Studied at govt medical college, rural town, (MD)AIIMS New Delhi, (DM) Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai
Can't express more my gratitude to God, parents, teachers,patients

Everywhere I have seen very rich and very very poor patients.
Had very often met genuine humans ,gem of character who teach you even in their pain..
Yes, few are nasty, I forgive them as they top were in distress
Will vouch for being a doctor in this country a million lives
