Had to drop Radar off at the ER tonight. He’s thrown up 4 times today and at one point was wheezing and crying between vomits. It’ll be hours before we hear anything and I’m a mess. Doctor called. He has a very tiny fever, about .2 over normal. His chest and abdomen are tight but they can’t tell if it’s because he’s anxious and breathing heavy or something else. Physical exam otherwise went well.

They recommended an X-ray and bloodwork, but also said if it was an obstruction, it would probably be too early to see it. They’re giving him anti-nausea medicine and sending him home. If he vomits while on those meds, he’ll have to go back for an x-ray.

Radar’s home and doing well. He ran out of the vet (with the nurse) all smiles and ready to go. Lots of hugs and kisses shared. He’s bundled up in his crate snoozing and we’re anxiously crawling into bed. He slept well and no issues. Us on the other hand, lol.
