1. I got this wonderful book on Friday, was thrilled. It's Annie Donwerth-Chikamatsu's MG book "Beyond Me" Fiction but based on 2011 triple disaster (quake/tsunami/nuclear meltdowns.) @AnnieDonwerth_C Annie lives in Tokyo. Her book is absolutely beautiful.

2. I went out this morning to go to the place where I saw tall sunflowers--but they'd dried up. But I biked on and discovered an absolutely beautiful garden. The man there was so proud and he cut the red flower for me!

3. I recommend this book--it really shows how it was for kids. All the aftershocks! For me, the aftershocks were worse than the actual quake bc I wasn't expecting really anything at that first one. I dutifully got under the table...but I'd gotten under the table for cont.

4. I'd gotten under the table for the 2 quakes earlier in the week, but they weren't destructive. (So I figured the March 11the quake would be the same.)
Annie's story starts with those first two quakes, then the BIG ONE and then.....& that was when hell broke loose (for us.)
