Anyway so this species i liked. The two creators had a falling out, so the OG creator handed over ownership to the secondary creator- I'll refer to them as X.

A lot of the community really wanted the species to stay alive since they still really liked it, so X agreed to try their best to make sure the community was still there. They decided to host another MYO event really soon after one had already ended as thanks (2/?)

for those who wanted to stay. Great! They set the deadline to be 12:00 AM on August 31st, with a set amount of traits available for us to use, as well as some traits that previously weren't allowed, to be allowed. People were generally really happy overall! (3/?)

But as the days went by, X and Xs mod team really started to crack down on the community. A new guide was released that put rarities on traits that were previously free- people were really confused, asking if they could still use those traits even tho only some were allowed (4/?)

Some traits seemed like they barred off entirely, which sucked because some people had characters they were making from the event with those traits. It was stated later that they'd be allowed now, but not after the event. (5/?)

Things calmed down for a while, until X decided to shorten the event to the 23rd (ending 11:59 pm August 22nd pacific coastal time) and people started to panic because that's a significant time reduction. But not only that, but X stated that they were going to (6/?)

completely bar any new characters from that species to be made after the event because they were going to make the species PERSONAL. A community they inherited that wasn't theirs to begin with.. they were making a personal species and not allowing any more charas to be made (7/?)

Community members were upset about this as well, asking about things like MYO slots they had before the second event was released. X has the AUDACITY to tell us that we have to submit those MYO slots before the deadline because NO characters are to be made after the event. (8/?)

Myo slots that people had PAID for before the event were going to be rendered useless and worthless if not submitted before the end of the event. To give credit where credit is due, though, X did say that we could get sketches approved and finish them later. (9/?)

But what about those who don't have the time or money to sketch out their characters or commission someone else to design that for them? Is their money just wasted? What kind of ownership is that? (10/?)

Also, one of X's mods that's been active throughout the event for QnA and such is super rude, and has honestly been treating members like they're below them??? Huh?????

And about the screenshot itself- I had made several versions of those characters based off characters i had already owned, and nobody said a WORD. @inkykinx had done it too, and nothing? So why am I not allowed to do it now? Especially if its a character I designed? HUH? (12/?)

I feel like the original owner handing off ownership of the species to X was going to lead to its downfall, and I was right. I'm honestly glad, though. I don't want to participate in a species with this kind of ownership. End thread......... unless i think of more to say LOL
