This entire paper is predicated on the notion that 'recent-onset gender dysphoria actually exists'. This term is coined by a researcher to describe what PARENTS report as their children coming out seemingly suddenly as trans along with other members in their peer group. https://twitter.com/jk_rowling/status/1287015013513920512
Do I really need to explain why this is psuedo-scientific bullshit?

I guess I have to.

Let's do this shit.
The term was coined in 2016 by Lisa Littman, an assistant professor at Brown University School of Public Health. The term is based on parents self-reporting that their children and other children happen to come out seemingly suddenly around the same time.
As a trans teen with trans teen friends, I have a very good explanation for this. Transgender kids tend to be socially isolated and ostracised, not only for their gender identity, but by themselves out of fear of rocking the boat or being different.
We then tend to form friendships with other socially isolated people who are disproportionately trans! Now, you may ask:

"Isn't this completely comprised of anecdotes with very little scientific basis?"
You, hypothetical reader asking that question, are indeed correct. However, there is one key difference between my anecdotes and ROGD theory.

Mine is based on talking to actual trans people. Lisa Littman's study, is based on the reports of PARENTS.
Now, there's nothing wrong with parents in and of themselves. I'm sure they're very fine people. However, is it not suspicious at all? The parents describe their child coming out as "seemingly sudden". Tell me, how on earth is coming out supposed to be eased into?
The answer is, not at all. It can't be eased into. Having been at various levels of dysphoria for most of my life, I can tell you that it all gets bottled up inside until it bursts. There is no SUBTLE way to do this crap. Please @jk_rowling , tell me how I'm supposed to come out.
Parents who've grown up with the bias of their times will often be willfully ignorant of any "signs" pointing to their child being trans until it comes out and slaps them in the face. I am pretty sure that the actual person who is trans is a better judge of this than the parents.
Recent-onset gender dysphoria is rejected by the medical community and for a very good reason. Her methodology in the study was grossly flawed and has been picked apart by many experts more intelligent than I.
Her study had a clear trajectory towards not the safety of children, but the invalidation of trans identities. @jk_rowling is spreading literal psuedo-science and lies that no actual experts support. She is using her huge platform of followers and fans to pull this.
@jk_rowling has no stake in the "Trans Debate". She is a cis, white, straight (presumably) capitalist who has fallen into the wave of TERF-inspired conservatism that has grabbed the U.K. by the balls and held on for dear life. She is factually wrong. She is a liar and a bigot.
