Nah, this ain't it. If you're an industry expert, your knowledge is valuable. Knocking a successful peer in your space for sharing their MUCH SOUGHT AFTER advice is what's cringy. How you gonna call someone's content on their own feed unsolicited? 😂 Just don't follow them, lmao.
For context, this VIP Bro is referring to @OliverAge24's fantastic mindshare thread today, illuminating his process behind driving Fall Guys' social media to over 1 million followers (sharing again below). He never took credit for the game's success, lol. https://twitter.com/OliverAge24/status/1297200779565170690?s=19
Do you know how I learned how to do my job? FROM MY PEERS and the successful hos before me who GRACIOUSLY shared their "unsolicited professional tips" when I didn't even know the right questions to ask yet. There was no Influencer Relations Manager school. https://twitter.com/MerQueenJude/status/1297356200821100545?s=19
I've said for years that this is a RELATIONSHIPS industry. We succeed by growing together and sharing what we learn. There are common foundational pieces for sure (business, marketing, etc.) but industry best practices are ever-emerging and no one should be shamed for sharing.
