The Trubisky/Foles debate and now battle in camp has created a deep chasm between #Bears fans on twitter. I think it’s near impossible to not have bias for one over the other for winning the job, and well- that’s TOTALLY OKAY.

Everyone has their own reason they think either QB can or will win the job. Personally, I want to see Foles win the job and I would prefer him to be the week 1 starter. That DOES NOT mean I’m rooting against Trubisky or hate Trubisky or that I am not a true fan.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and here is mine on the situation: it sounds like both QBs are having mediocre camps. This is not good news for Trubisky in my opinion considering this is year 3 for him in this offense with the same personell.

His development should be way above where it is at and it sounds like many of his same mistakes that previously haunted him (running out of bounds and overthrowing deep shots) are still there. Even though Foles has reportedly not been great in camp either,

his skill set of managing a game and making easy, quick throws sounds apparent. His coaches referred to him as a point guard. I personally do not think the Bears owe any QB loyalty at this point and fans shouldn’t have to feel loyal to one guy either if they don’t want.

Even though it would make us all feel better if we got some value for such a high pick and we want to see the “good guy” win out (because let’s be honest, Trubisky is a hard guy to root against!), that should not make us not choose the best option for winning games.

A common argument is that Foles has not much done much and is a career backup, but what has Trubisky honestly done? Personally, I want to go the safe route in Foles. Im pretty confident I know what he will bring- good, bad or indifferent. I can’t say that about Mitch every week.

This thread is not to taunt those who want to see Trubisky win. This thread is to say that I can have my opinion on the #Bears QB competition and still root for the team. Everyone else can too. If you want to see 10 win the gig, tell me why.
