Racism, which also includes cultural and religious bigotry, is probably the most irrational yet sticky human trend history has ever witnessed. Hitler was obviously short and kinda brown with no personal achievement, yet he became the leader of the so-called ambitious, tall
and blonde white horde. Such is the insanity of racism tht it rarely allows a self-critique mainly because it thrives on the irrationality and self-obsession of the collectivist narcissist who happens to be the bigoted person of interest. One recent trend on Twitter tht caught my
eye is Muslims finding flaws in fellow Muslims, in this case Shias, especially with regards to the rituals of Muharram. What is ironic in their approach is tht they rarely look into their own practices, beliefs and traditions b4 making a show of their hate and bigotry. Here r my
favourites:
- Taliban supporter mocking Hazaras for remembering an Arab tragedy. Caveat: Taliban sacrificed their Kingdom in the name of a non-divine Arab (Osama) and they get their bottoms blown into pieces because the freaks r staunch believers in every jibberish ever written
in Arabic.
- Shias are mocked for having weird processions. Okay, how can Muslims in general explain the concept to a non-Muslim where we all drink from a desert well, stone some statues, shave our heads and kill millions of sheep. And I don't mean half-baked Zakir Nail type
arguments.
- Shias are being mocked as Ali worshippers. Okay tht s baseless for one, because Shias only venerate Ali and in extremist circles rather exaggeratedly, but how's tht different than all the other saints worshipped and loved by Muslims from Abdul Qadir Jilani to
Moinuddin Chishti and our own Shah du Shamshera. Now a staunch Wahabi has a good reason to refute all, I just wonder how Hanafis get the guts to mock others? Those in glass castles don't throw rocks u see.
If I am a polytheist, u ain't no monotheist matey!
