Thread: Twitter isn& #39;t for me anymore. I have been thinking about it for a while now. I had a six-week break and was happier. People came from Facebook and turned it into a toxic political screaming match. I will be deleting my account tomorrow.
Leaving this up for a day so people I interact with can see. I used to enjoy this app before it became political and toxic. I have found that I check it far too much and when I do I never leave it feeling happier I just feel anxious and miserable. Overwhelmed by the doom & gloom.
To the kids who use this app desperately hoping for likes and RTs: I have had many viral tweets and over 10m views on Vine (RIP), it means nothing. It actually gets annoying after a while. Stop living your life trying to win a Twitter argument by having a better ratio.
One of the most damaging things I will say about social media is I am glad it wasn& #39;t around when I was a kid. I went out and didn& #39;t worry that I didn& #39;t have my phone. I didn& #39;t let it consume my life. So many are addicted to their smartphone and they don& #39;t even know it.
Social media isn& #39;t all bad, I have interacted with many great people on here, and I will always appreciate that, but the time has come where the bad outweighs the good. I will miss many people on here but I won& #39;t miss coming on for football talk and being bombarded with bad news.
Maher: "The tycoons of social media have to stop pretending that they’re friendly nerd gods building a better world and admit they’re just tobacco farmers in T-shirts selling an addictive product to children. Because, let’s face it, checking your “likes” is the new smoking.”

Now onto United: After 10 years my last United tweets

Get behind Ole because he truly gets the club and that is a great fucking thing. His positive attitude is infectious. Don& #39;t hope he fails because if he does, the alternative is far worse. We NEED him to do well.

The Glazers, Ed Woodward and the rest of this board are a disgrace, we all know that. So get behind the ones who actually care about the club. #OleIn! I fucking adore that bloke. Stop calling Rashford & #39;Trashford& #39; and support the lad. We are lucky to have him.
And I still haven& #39;t given up on De Gea. I love the bloke and always will. Loyalty means something to me. Through good and bad. He needs that confidence back. I hope he finds it again.
I am gone but a great United account to follow is @OIeV03. He& #39;s perfect for United content.

I am not really sure what happens to a username once it has been deleted but if you see someone tweeting from this username it won& #39;t be me. Someone might have just grabbed it when they signed up. Not sure if it even becomes available. Anyway, it won& #39;t be me if you do see it.
My loyal ones: @PowerSportzHall, @BennnyM, @CliffeRocker, you legends!
