I know that for every person who risks publicly sharing the harm that’s been inflicted on them by white leadership there are countless others who cannot risk their jobs or who fear retaliatory retribution. (2/X)
I cannot undo harm I previously inflicted upholding a culture designed to benefit me. While I’m no longer in the repro space, I, like every WW, must acknowledge our culpability in white supremacy culture & then do the work to dismantle it-in the workplace & in our lives. (3/3)
Thought I was done: WW, yes it’s reading & listening, but it has to be action too. You will f*ck up—& since guilt & perfectionism is a WSC hallmark—you’re going to want to wait until you can get it “right” before you speak up when you see discrimination happening (4/3+)
But speak up. Be willing for leadership to 🙄 and/or call you a troublemaker.

I f*ck up regularly & know I have so much more work to do.

But I regret the most the things I didn’t say because of discomfort & things I still remain silent on today out of fear. (5/end for real)
