For those of you who think #kpop fandoms don't encourage discussion and only care about the views and streams, I have a couple things to say:

1. Not true, please do your research and
2. Here are some publications to check out

++
For starters, @TheR3Journal is an academic journal which just held a full-blown academic conference about BTS and discussed some hardcore topics about music, the fandom, and working against clear biases.
Over at @BorasaekVision, we spend all our time dedicated to smart, well-researched articles to educate and encourage fandom growth.
We also have @revolt_twt which is a complete BUSINESS dedicated to publishing entire BOOKS about fandom studies, mental health, and more.
A fan art and literary mag also exists @dreamglowmag and another magazine about the genre over at @revolutionmag
So next time someone says "oh you're a toxic fandom who only cares about the views", show them this thread and tell them to do some homework next time.

Thank you @BTSBEINGBTSYT for this tweet which inspired me: https://twitter.com/btsbeingbtsyt/status/1297275997583286272?s=21
Every day #BTSARMY has to fight against the sort of thinking Adam shared, and it's just plain insulting at this point. No matter what we do, someone will always try to drag us down.

So we'll keep fighting, and one day you'll see the truth behind our enthusiasm.
One day you'll see that we're over here trying to support people we care about @BTS_twt and change our world to be a better place to live in, inspired by their actions.
So please, before you say something damaging and hurtful, make sure you look beyond the superficial and try to understand us instead of staying willfully on the surface. Encourage thinking with more thinking.
