Journalists whose concern is the truth should not be labeled as Republicans because Democrats don’t like the facts - and vice versa. That is an information warfare tactic that should be condemned by all. That is a significant advantage that distorts reality and makes us feel powerless. But we’re not because it’s built on lies. And lies don’t stand up to questioning. The truth does. That’s why it always catches my attention when we’re told not to talk about something - move on.
It’s usually a good place to start digging and asking questions. Doesn’t always lead to a lie, but it’s a pretty good indicator. Then when you hear a whole lot of people all saying it at the same time, you know someone probably told them all what to say - for better or worse.
