unless you’re digging for it, I think the idea that a Direct is rumoured “every week” is exaggerated

If anything, anytime credible leakers/journalists have reported on something this year,(Mini, Partner Showcase, AC Direct were all heavily rumoured), it’s mostly been true!

Heck, Jeff Grubb even reported back in MAY that Nintendo was not planning any mainline directs till late August-September

I think it just SEEMS that way because people are often talking about it in general, as opposed to when there’s a CLEAR light up within the leaking community that somethings cooking up

Literally A bunch of ppl known for getting correct info said an Indie Showcase was happening this week followed soon after by a general direct, so we will see SOOOOOONNNN
