I come from Chikarimatsito village in Gokwe North. Growing up I always wanted to transform my village. I put water and electricity at my parents homestead in an endeavour to start projects that will empower them and create employment to locals. @babatafi @dzombn
September 2019 I started a pig project with 14pigs. We started with one pigsty with 8 compartments, now our stock is 90pigs and we’ve just recently finished building the second pigsty with 10 compartments.
My family are now venturing into vegetable farming. I’m in the process of setting up an irrigation system. A journey of a thousand miles begin with one step. I’m encouraged by what they’re doing. I don’t have to send money all the time, now they’re able to buy bread and meat.
The same September 2019 I also built a fowl run and helped my family start a poultry project. We had about 800 chicken until July when we were affected by Newcastle and we lost about 300chicken. We are restocking again soon. These are some of the setbacks but we will overcome
@TawandaKarikoga @JusticeMayorW when you visit Gokwe next time can you pass by my homestead in Chikarimatsito village and see what I’ve set up so that you can start venturing into similar projects in your constituencies to help improve the lifestyles of the rural folks
For easy transportation and movement I purchased them a truck. This will help transport produces to the market and also provide easy movement for my family especially my old parents.
