union bureaucracy is not the working class.
those who are unelected and paid by a union (and often elected leaders too) have a distinct material interest from those of their members and do not speak for them. many of them do an important work to advance the class struggle, while some hinder it. either way they shouldn't 1/
have political power in the union. while they are individually part of the working class in a broader sense (i.e. have to sell their labour power for a living), they do not represent the working class, are not *the* working class, b/c of their position in unions. 2/
