ok so i already mentioned how everything is the same as canon until filly rd does her first rainboom.. it has a drastically diff effect than canon ijfkmvhnsivb it actually ends up resetting the universe, bringing our 6 guardians to p much the beginning of time

at that point they realize they gotta rebuild the whole universe themselves jifhvndjbg in the process they also realize their memories are all over the place lol, they know each other yet they dont cus they have these new memories of being basically goddesses-

-but also memories before they perished so theyre just Mega Confused jghbnidkb later on they get more effects of this, like how north star loves watching over sweet apple acres cus it reminds her of smth thats familiar to her yet.. also isnt lol

anyway tho i imagine the first pony they ever reveal themselves to is luna. i feel like she never turns into nightmare moon in this au.. like.. ig the guardians saved her? idk im still working on that hfjmvnjsdv

i imagine the guardians having a truly special connection that cant be rlly explained until they hear the concept of "soul mates" by the ponies below & theyre like "oooh that makes sense" but then they hear soul mate is often used romantically & theyre like "oh.. oh my" lol

basically my plan is to make them a poly couple who are in loooove heheeeee but also like. they dont act like lovey dovey couples to each other.. except maybe moontone & twinkle star do cute romantic things sometimes haha

OH YEAH the guardians can all enter the dream realm & visit dreams jifvhdinbj teyre cosmic guardians so i feel like them having similar abilities to the princess of the night in some regards makes sense lol. they work luna's weekend shifts lmao

tbh the memories of the guardians are so fucked up.. like i imagine so many ponies that they either met in their past life or would have met in the future of their past universe (like rd with scootaloo) are so familar yet theyre like "why are they so familiar aaa" jifhnvui

the ideas i have are hard to explain but i hope the last post kinda gives a good idea on my idea for how their memories work? tbh im still working on their unique powers, so ill update this thread yet again when i think of stuff lol

continuing this thread to include sunset in it lol ive come to a conclusion - her name will be sundance, not inspired by the night or stars or anything to hint at how shes kinda an odd one out of the group lol

also iirc, sundance is one of the only ponies from g1 to come with a human & never be sold on her own. so like.. thats p cool imo cus sunset lives in the human world yet was born as a pony & like sundance has a connection with humans in the toys unlike all the other pones lol

anyway tho, im thinking sundance was reborn as a guardian as soon as earth experienced its first sunset ufgbijnmkdhn the mane 6 instantly recognize her as sundance much to their confusion. sundance recognizes them all as friends of hers much to her great confusion jifkbndhnb

also thinking of renaming some of the mane 6 but i already established all their names so im like hhhhhhhhhh i cant change themmmmm

i also wanna change their designs a little ijfhvinlrjxb just their cutie marks tho thats all.. i have cute drawing ideas for them doing little antics together, ill change their designs a lil when i get to drawing them

anyway tho as for names, i wanna change aj's name.. idk how much north star suits her anymore.. hm.. maybe starburst? sounds like it suits her tbh

i kinda wanna change night glider's name too.. ive been thinking starshine since shes 1. a rainbow pony 2. a pegasus & 3. by her backcard's story, she seems to act like rd tbh jgibnkmgcl

i should just change all of the pony's names to have star in the name hmmm but names like galaxy & moonstone are so goooood hmmmmmmmmm

here's what im thinking of doing
galaxy -> moondancer
moonstone -> no change
twinkle star -> pink dreams
north star -> starburst
night glider -> starshine
night glow -> cloud dreamer
sundance -> no change (shes got a different theme to represent her uniqueness from the rest)

tbh as much as i love galaxy, i think moondancer is more fitting for twi ijfihbjnkrfbn i also incorporated a "dream" theme for the names of 2 of them cus i thought "their names are night themed.. dreams are associated with nights.. & there arent many night themed g1 names"

sooo yeah, i think the dream names are cute af & rlly fit both pinkie & flutters anyway jgfhnbgkcn also as i said, sundance is the only one named after the sun cus shes different, she isnt born into the group like everyone else, shes like.. a late bloomer lmao
