I wanted to remind everyone that it is CRUCIAL that when discussing veganism, we need to hold intersectional conversations regarding the agriculture industry & the treatment farm workers receive.
Following a vegan lifestyle doesn’t mean it is just or equitable. Unless you plant & harvest your own food, you are dependent on the agriculture systems that oppress our people. A lot of them are Indigenous peoples from Oaxaca. Never forget that.
Those of us who don’t plant or harvest our own foods are dependent on these systems that force farm workers to work under these conditions. They didn’t stop in the pandemic & don’t stop as they inhale the smoke from the wildfires.

This thread is calling for intersectional conversations regarding veganism...not saying veganism is responsible for the agriculture systems. Just stop pretending veganism is "cruelty free" and condemning Indigenous peoples and other cultures for consuming their traditional foods.

Read the ENTIRE thread before jumping on the "offended" bandwagon. I also said anyone who DOES NOT grow their own foods plays a role in this... -_-
