Two groups of about half a dozen police each a block away. No military gear even though this is a potentially incendiary situation. Very different minimal approach during a right wing rally than when BLM protests are happening at night and they are in full gear in large numbers.

BLM protestors are drowning out the right wing protestors. And Baby Trump has shown up.

Update: I’m told that the right wing side is using lots of bear-spray, not tear gas. I’ve never heard of bear-spray, but having just gotten some in my lungs in the eyes while I had my mask off for a second, I can tell you it stings and make you cough just as bad.

Things are getting tense and frayed. LRAD is threatening to declare “unlawful assembly or riot”.

Their own bear spray has backfired on the right wing protestors. Blew back on them and many are dispersing and being treated for stinging eyes.

Looks like a large amount of the right wingers are starting to leave as the BLM crowd chants: “When I say nazi, you say out! Nazi! Out! Nazi! Out!”

With the right wingers mostly gone the counter-protest has morphed into an impromptu march and street rally in Portland. I’m certain that - just as there has been for 87 consecutive days - there will be more protests tonight.

The Feds have declared an unlawful assembly now that it’s only BLM protestors gathered.
