Hello and welcome to another episode Hawkie talks about things that don't matter regarding Jojo for wayyyyyyyy too long, I have a working (very rough) theory as to what's currently happening in Jojolion

Spoiler warning for Part 7&8 mute this thread and also tw for existentialism

Okay, so where I want to go with this thread is to analyze exactly what was brought back to the surface about Soft&Wet's ability. The fact that it's soap bubbles are not in fact, "bubbles" but instead strings that are spinning incredibly fast, giving the illusion of a sphere

Although it has not been directly stated, what this ability is a direct reference to, is "String Theory", a cosmological theory based in quantum physics that could very well explain the direction araki is taking with Soft & Wet's ability and how its going to defeat Wonder of U

Now before I even TALK about anything Jojo related I'm going to give a simplified explanation of what String Theory is and also a fact of our very own reality: The Heisenburg Principle

So first off let's talk about what the Heisenburg Principle is. When we think about how our reality works we our able to analyze our very existence by looking at it up closer, by looking at things closer we have learned more about pretty much everything in reality

We have been able to learn that everything is made up of tiny particles. From Cells, to Molecules, to atoms. For a long period of time we thought that Atoms were the farthest we could go in our understanding of this subject

That was until we smashed atoms together which allowed us to discover something that can't be divided anymore: Elementary Particles. The only problem with this is that they are SOOOOO small that we can't look at them anymore

In order for us to see something, we need light. Light is an electromagnetic wave that bounces off surfaces and reflects back to your eye, thats how we are able to see objects. Now there is one problem with this

The problem with this is that elementary particles are so small that the waves we use to see are TOO BIG to touch them. Our solution to this is by creating electromagnetic waves with more and smaller wavelengths

The only problem with THAT is that MORE wavelengths mean MORE Energy. So when we observe elementary particles with a wavelength with a lot of energy it screws up the particle, this means that we CANNOT measure/examine these particles precisely: That is the Heisenberg Principle

NOW onto what this thread is mainly about: String Theory

Which has a direct relation to the Heisenberg principle.

As we cannot measure or analyze elementary particles precisely, we can only measure and calculate their influence on reality. This is how we are able to have a "standard" model of the differences between these particles but are only accurate up to 0.0000000000002%

But there is something that gets in the way of our understanding of these particles and that is: Gravity.

Gravity is theory of geometry that deals with the geometry of Space-Time as a whole. To put it simple, Gravity is the Stage of the universe.

How that translates to what I've been talking about is that when analyzing particles that exist on a gravitational plane, you have to have be INCREDIBLY PRECISE. So of course when taking into account these elementary particles that CANT be precisely measured it basically ruins it

SO THIS IS WHERE STRING THEORY COMES INTO PLACE: What String Theory is is the marriage between the Standard Model of Elementary Particles and Gravity.

How String theory Marries these two concepts is by not describing the elementary particles on a gravitational plane as a POINT in space, but instead a LINE or STRING.

These elementary particles are produced by lines that are vibrating at different frequencies, and these lines can exist in a gravitational space with no problem. So to SIMPLY put: Every Atom is made up of a vibrating line and what differentiates atoms is how the line is vibrating

NOW FINALLY BACK TO JOJO: From describing what string theory is you should have a pretty good idea of where im going with this. Soft & Wet's bubbles arent spheres, they are strings "vibrating" or "spinning" at a high frequency that gives an illusion of a sphere

This is exactly how string theory works. Which means that to an extent Josuke doesn't realize. Soft and Wet's true ability to control the vibration of lines, lines that are the very basis of every atom in existence.

In fact he's already been applying string theory.

Soft and Wet's main ability: Plunder. To my own definition, is basically just Josuke's lines applying themselves to something and changing the vibration of it's atoms to "steal" or better described "disable" a property from it. Like sound from a wall or friction from a floor.

Now this is where there are major Part 7 and 8 spoilers ahead, please mute this thread if you dont want to see any.

Now when talking about manipulating atoms by vibration or spinning, what ability/stand from Part 7 does this sound like to you? THATS RIGHT. THE SPIN AND TUSK ACT 4!

When applying String Theory to these two properties from Part 7 we are able to understand the weirder and incomprehensible aspects of them even more, more specifically the Spin overall than anything.

What the Spin is basically doing is spinning or vibrating" at a specific frequency that allows it to manipulate the strings that make-up everything around us, which explains how Gyro is able to perform such obtuse occurrences with the steel balls

The same can be said for Tusk Act 4 which can apply this "infinite Rotation" to a specific point in space that spreads across multiple realities.

Now before I go into how exactly I feel like Josuke's going to use this to his advantage I want to talk about what Exactly Wonder of U's ability is and how i think it relates to everything Ive been rambling on about

From what we Understand: The Wonder of U's ability is basically to cause "calamities" around those who try to pursue it. How this is always phrased though is the calamities are acting on some sort of flow...

I believe that Wonder of U's actual ability is the process to which the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle works on based on something Mamezuku stated in chapter 100, that the ability of Wonder of U is an illusion and is not directly causing the calamities like how we've thought.

Much like how in order for us to observe elementary particles we have to use wavelengths that damage and change the particles, I believe Wonder of U is a manifestation of this process, anytime someone tries to perceive/interact with it, something happens to damage that individual

THIS is how Wonder of U's ability operates, it produces a flow of energy that acts as a forcefield, to which anyone who tries to perceive or interact with it is inflicted by a "Calamity" or more specifically the cosmological recoil of the "wavelength" their applying to the stand

So with all of this put in place, My theory is, I feel like Josuke is going to incorporate the "spin" of his "bubbles" in a way that will interrupt the flow of energy Wonder of U is constantly producing, giving Josuke a window to directly attack and defeat the main antagonist.

If this sounds familiar this is practically how the climax of part 7 was resolved with Tusk Act 4 and D4C: Love Train (who also has a very similar ability to Wonder of U)

Thus Concludes my unnecessarily long thread as to why I think Soft & Wet is going to incorporate its usage of the "Spin" to break through Wonder of U's ability and how the overall concept of string theory applies to it!
