Getting clear on what you want out of life is the first step towards a fulfilled life.

You might not want to be a millionaire or a billionaire. Maybe all you want is a steady income and spending a happy and stress free life, and that’s all fine.

Just be 100% clear.

At the age of 19, I knew I never wanted to be an employee.

I knew I wanted to marry my then girlfriend.

I knew I wanted to move back home to live with my family.

2/n
Only thing I was not sure about was which business I wanted to start.

So I left all my roommates and friends and moved 40 miles away to a different part of the city. Rented an apartment where I lived alone for 6 months.

3/n
There I fell in love with coding.

Decided I wanted to start a software business and moved back to my hometown.

Married my dream girl at 23.

Started my business.

Had a lovely daughter at 27.

Life is as good as it can get!

4/n
I am 28 now.

My business is taking off. I spend most of my time with two loves of my life.

My family and my work.

But why am I telling you all of this?

I wanted to create a thread on success.

But I just could not write anything that wouldn’t have seemed like a rehashed version of sappy motivational books.

So I decided to define it in a different way.

Success is basically living the life you want.

6/n
You will find examples of crazy rich men who have failed to build a family and extremely poor people who have incredible families.

Rich people with poor health and poor people with amazing health.

Are any of them successful?

Rather are any of them successful?

7/n
In my definition, they are successful if they achieved what they set out to do.

If the rich man with poor health never gave a shit about his health and only cared about riches, he is successful.

If the poor one only cared about building a family he is too.

8/n
So who is unsuccessful then?

Those who lie to themselves about their what they truly want out of life.

Those who are too weak to give their dream life a shot.

THEY are unsuccessful.

How do you identify your stage and become successful then?

9/n
Pretty simple.

Start by being brutally honest with yourself.

Analyse these 4 aspects of your life.

- Health
- Family
- Money
- Freedom

Write down where you know for sure you are not where you want to be.

Start there.

10/n
Then take meticulous action.

Meticulous, thoughtful, aggressive and consistent action.

Move towards your destination bit by bit.

Step by step.

Don’t stop. Keep moving.

11/n
In few years time you would have gotten what you wanted and your friends and family would be jealous of the life that you’ve built.

Like they are of mine.

So am I successful? Well, that only I can tell.https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😉" title="Zwinkerndes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Zwinkerndes Gesicht">
