Hanahaki disease, but instead of dying and the angst you grow plants on your hair the more love you feel, for life, for your friends, any kind of love! Kiri hair is a complete ecosystem of red flowers, and Baku hair is dry as a desert, until one day Baku start to grow cactuses..

In reality he already had some, small succulents the colour of his hair, that’s why no one noticed, until a certain red head became more important in his daily live.. first it was a small red succulent, easy to hide in his voluminous hair...

But one morning he woke up with a big ass cactus with a red flower the size of a hat, obviously he couldn’t cut the cactus, it was a part of him now, the cactus couldn’t hurt him, like he couldn’t hurt the cactus...

He decided to put a wool cap on, lucky for him winter was about to start and the temperatures had already been a bit down, everyone know he hated the cold so no one would ask...

The day when on normally, everyone had started to show their winter flowers, more small and discrete, some others started to show their new small threes with a few leaves, even Dekus hair, who usually was full of green leaves, now was full of red and brown ones..

The only one who was still in full bloom was Kirishima, no one of his voluminous amount of flowers had even withered a little... Bakugou was pretty sure it was because Kirishima itself was like the sun...those little flowers sure were lucky to have bloomed in kirishimas hair...

Bakugou was very distracted thinking what to do about that cactus, he didn’t wanted to confess yet, he had a plan, dammit! A wonderful Christmas date, copiosious amounts of food, and special succulent he has been cultivating in a pot, perfectly calculated until the end!...

Now... what would he do? Use a cap until Christmas? It was months away! Maybe he could make it pass like a fungi infestation? Ici-hot had one some months ago, his quirk makes them a perfect place to grow, it was natural bakugou own body temperature could explain it...

Bakugou was inmersed in his plan to discretely cut some mushrooms from that girl of 2-B when kirishima suddenly appeared in front of his face

- Hey bro! What’s up? You look totally lost! Are you cold maybe? Do you want my scarf?

Yeah this was the main problem...

This idiot was too cute, so fucking shiny all the time, even if bakugou could somehow hide that cactus it will surely bloom more and more, even now he felt a little one bloom near his ear.. dammit...

Ignoring how Kirishima could pronounce ":D" outloud, he put on a scarf he had on his bag and went straight to the bathroom, in a cubicle he used his phone to look what was on his shoulder and there it was, a small dandelion had blossomed on his shoulder...

Ok THAT'S IT, cactus were cool, but dandelions? Those were round face thing!!! Not his!! ....
But again, it was part of his body now, a very bumped and hurt part of his body.... a show of his love for Kirishima, and nothing fruit of Kirishima existence should be treated badly...

He put a bandaid to straighten the Dandelion and arranged the scarf to no hurt it more, with time the Dandelion would surely move towards his hair, plants tended to go where more light was at disposal, so now with his cap on, more flowers would surely bloom in weird places...Shit

Because it was Saturday he only needed to wait two more hours before he could be alone, and finally think of a better plan...he could stop falling more in love with Kirishima for two hours, he could definitely do it...

... he couldn't do it.... Kirishima somehow was EXTRA cool today, he did a very cool presentation in English class about his favorite music group, he even sang in English!!!

He couldn't pronounce shit, but he looked so dumb/cool!! Bakugou immediately felt another thing blossomed near his hairline.... Crap, half and hour more, he could do it for half an hour more-

Bakugou almost fell backwards but could do a quick recovery putting his feet on his desk, yeah smooth~

Finally in his room, bakugou changed his uniform and took off his cap to see all his new "Friends"... Yeah, it was a big disaster, he had three new small cactuses in his hair, a Dandelion in his shoulder and a cursed creeper plant started to grow on his arm !! SHIT!!....

He honestly couldn't imagine how that lil shit was going to survive one of his explosions, but like icy-hot he supposed his plants would sure be inmune to his explosions, not in a position to test it though, he didn't want to go straight to the infirmary...

He tried to calm down a bit, it was winter!! He could use a lot of clothes, and close his eyes when Kirishima smiled?- No no ... He would need to have his eyes closed 80% of the time, not possible...

Well he still have an hour and half to think of a better plan, surely he can come with a better solution to-

Kirishima looked at him for a hot second before realisation showed on his face...

Bakugou honestly panicked and stayed rock still in the ground while Kiri hugged him...

Kirishima finally let him go and looked at him while properly sitting.

Bakugou didn't understand at first, what? He finally loved himself? What?? His confusion must have shown on his face:

-I-i remember my first flower, in highschool my hair was plain black... Not a flower in sight, I did actually have flowers though! three little buds of black roses, but they were small and fragile.. they represented my love for my family and friends but...

Bakugou was dumbfounded, he had never saw that look on Kirishima face, his eyes became darker for a second, but then, they suddenly brightened.

-But then!! I realized I could change!!!...

-I could become someone worth it of my family love flowers!! I could change to someone I could love!!! And that's what I did, I trained hard, reeeaallly hard! Until one day, a little plant blossomed on the top of my hair, is still small, and I still don't know what it is...

-But is my own plant, the plant that represents my own love, you can only see it when my hair is down, but I'm sure some day it will be really big and cool!! Like a pineapple!! :D

-Like a- JKFJD HAHAHA!!

Bakugou couldn't stop his laughter, shitty hair becoming pineapple head!

Kirishima smiled while bakugou regained his composure

-You know, when I first met you I thought you had a little too much love for yourself, and that your whole hair was burnt grass or something to show it haha!

Kirishima smiled the brightest bakugou has never seen, and before he could control it, tears began to fall, and cactus began to blossom...

-You... You dense as fuck fucking dork-!!!!

Bakugou tackled Kirishima to the ground this time, hugged him like his life depended on it, and started laughing again...

Kirishima hugged him back and laughed too...

Kirishima wasn't wrong per se... bakugou loved himself somehow, he was sure the lil shit white succulent in his nape blossomed the day he found about his quirck... but, this new cactuses were not only for his crush on Kirishima...

He discovered a group of idiots he could call his friends, the two purple succulents in the crown of his head got eventually bigger with the years...maybe he just need some alone time to appreciate his family a bit more...

And the worlds of the read head not only made him like him more... But sometimes they made him like himself more too, if someone as bright as Kirishima could love him, it sure was for a good reason, he still have time to find that reason at his own peace... As kiri said

Maybe that plant can blossom in something beautiful too... he really hopped it wasn't a pineapple....

-WHOA BRO, that creeper plant on your arm!!! Is a chili pepper plant?!?

Kiri and baku destangled themselves and looked at baku arm

The creeper has grown all over his arm, and at his wrist had started to grown a tiny chili...

While they ran downstairs to cook and eat the chilli, bakugou started thinking... maybe his plants were not going to blossom "Beautifully" but he was sure as hell they were going to be cool as fuck!!!

Did he confess? Nope, he still had his plan and he is NOT going to let this new plants ruin it, and besides he knows well he didn't need to rush... Kirishima doesn't know it, but in his nape, he has beautiful orange chrysanthemums~
