Let’s talk about anxiety. And then, let’s talk about anxiety as a social team of one, during a pandemic.

•it’s impacted my mental health
•it’s impacted my day-to-day
•it’s impacted how I interact with others

But...that’s to be expected.
Things I have to constantly remind myself:
•you are doing the best you can
•you simple cannot do it all, everyday, all the time
•when you’re tired and not feeling productive, it’s best to just shut the computer and take a break
Things I need to stop being afraid of:

•telling myself I WILL forget something just because I have a lot to remember and push out
•making mistakes (they’re impossible to avoid)
•letting someone down (also at this point, kind of impossible)
Things I need to enforce with myself:
•sticking to my boundaries
•giving myself time off from my screens
•not opening my work email all of the time •allowing myself to be human
A reminder to any fellow SMMs also in this boat:

•you’re managing social through a pandemic = you’re already a rockstar
•you’re reading hundreds of negative comments a day = exhale the negativity, inhale the positivity
•stick close to your support system, always
And, my DMs are always open if a fellow SMM friend needs to chat and work through their anxiety.
