Here's some alternatives I found/use:
β€” Put on a rubber band and snap it whenever u feel the urge to harm.
β€” Draw yourself/a part u want to hurt and draw over that instead!
β€” Blast some upbeat music
β€” Pick up a new hobby!
β€” For every cut you have, you have to wait one day to cut again.
β€Ή Let’s say you’ve cut 5 times. 5 cuts. Wait 5 days to cut again. See if you can do it. It’s an alternative to driving yourself to c*t more bc you’re not stopping.
β€” Take nice, warm, long and relaxing baths!
β€” Rub ice cubes on your scars
β€” Start a journal, write down your thoughts and feelings! Write down things that people said to you that made you happy! Everything that made you happy β€” write them down!
β€” Have a pillow fight with the wall
β€” Draw or scribble on random papers. You can tear them too!!
β€” Stab an orange. Yes. I said that.
β€” GET A MASSAGE!!
