WHY I THINK YAMAMOTO WOULD BE NEKOMAS CAPTAIN AND KENMA WOULD BE VICE CAPTAIN:

i think that most people default as expecting that kenma would be captain whether its because 'woo kuroken' or just because he's the most prominent member of the nekoma second years, but i dont think+

that kenma would be the captain. i think this because, although he does become more passionate about volleyball during nationals, he does not have the drive and enthusiasm to be able to lead a team. he is pretty soft spoken (although the team always listens to his analysis). +

kenma would probably find it difficult to raise the spirits of his teammates because he tends to think very logically and tactically rather than considering factors like emotions, so it could be that he would find it hard to know exactly what his teammates need to hear. +

however, this doesnt mean that he couldn't be vice captain, especially if tora is captain. tora would be a good captain because he is shown to be very emotionally resilient when he wants to be during nekoma's match with nohebi in which the team targets tora and tries to rile him+

up. he can also be loud and is very capable of having fun and making his teammates laugh which is a pretty important factor for a team captain to have. he often talks of 'willpower' and tenacity, which suggests that he would absolutely be able to raise his teammates' spirits. +

yamamoto is not, however, a very tactical thinker. he is a powerful spiker and good at defense, but not so much the strategy of volleyball. this is why i think that tora and kenma would be a good duo for captain and vice captain respectively. they each have traits that are +

important for captains to have that the other does not necessarily carry. if the role of 'perfect captain' was a box that could be coloured, they would fill the whole box with ease. they fill in the gaps that the other misses making them a great duo to lead the team.
