Some food for thought inside, but I& #39;d like to read more about the impact of illegal streams. We know people who are NBA fans but prefer a dodgy stream instead of paying for League Pass (might be casual fan thing, or price). But how hard is this hitting? https://theathletic.com/1997343/2020/08/17/strauss-why-the-nba-has-a-serious-viewership-problem-it-needs-to-fix/">https://theathletic.com/1997343/2...
As someone who doesn& #39;t reside in the US but has visited on occasion, blackouts on League Pass were rough on those trips. At home, I& #39;ve got LP access to every game. Can see why people in US might be driven to use other streams instead, which could skew numbers.
TV broadcast deals remain lucrative but an aging product, IMO. In a way, could the blackouts be limiting adoption for League Pass? Don& #39;t see an answer for this until TV deals lose their value.
Or moving beyond the China-US perspective, how about NBA audiences in other regions? Would be great to read about whether India or Southeast Asia, Oceania has made an impact, and in those regions whether broadcast deals (or League Pass subscriptions) are working better.
