My dad passed away when I was 12. I heard footsteps walking behind me in the hallway one day and I was happy that my dad “was still with me”. I told my mom and she told me that was not my dad without hesitation. It crushed me, and I was upset at her for years b/c she told me

my dad was resting. Little did I know that she was protecting me from a demonic spirit trying to attach itself to me. I would always have dreams about my dad and when I remembered what she said, I would say “You aren’t my dad” to the demon posing as him and that thing would

manifest as the demon it was. It would show my dad sick, angry and honestly everything opposite of who my dad was. Only b/c I have a mother that knew about things in the spirit. I was mad for a long time at her b/c I thought she ruined my dreams . But she was protecting me.

God is good and I thank God for covering me. When your loved ones die, they are not with you. They are resting if they believed in Christ or they are in Hades. Your ancestors can not guide you or watch over you. What you encounter as them are familiar spirits. The devil hates you

And will use your hurt against you. Do not let him. Do not let a demon be attached to you b/c you are hurting over someone that has passed. It is a trap! Accept Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide you in your daily life. Demons have intelligence, so yes they can

tell you things about you (they study who they are assigned to). Or even tell you whats going to happen in the future. Its all available in the spiritual realm. But the issue is the source. Anything thats not from God is from the devil and is for your destruction.

So to end this little thread, ask God to reveal and remove any evil spirit attached to you. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and help you discern the spirits you see. To remove every form of deception so you can be free from that thing. Those familiar spirits are keeping you
