i will never forgive white people for being the direct murderers of our languages for them to only profit off teaching it back to us centuries later in academic spaces.

the only people that can teach me ilonggo in the US are my parents. it is literally my first language, n yet i am not fully fluent.
and now here i am, reading a book about it written by a white christian missionary who has definitely perpetuated neocolonialism during his lifetime

i do not respect white professors for any non-colonizer language at all lol
