While @HarkinsTheatres isn't ready to open any of its theaters in the Phoenix metro, they have opened a drive-in at its Chandler location.

The early shows for this week's lineup have sold out. Some 10:45P shows are still available.
If you don't live in/near Chandler, you have more movie options:

@WestWindDriveIn is open in Glendale, Arizona, https://bit.ly/3ggBaad

Pop-Up Events at WestWorld of Scottsdale, https://bit.ly/3giQqU0

Digital Drive-in in Mesa, https://bit.ly/3gj3PeV
Update: Just spoke with the Adam Frost, director of ops. for Alamo Drafthouse's Phoenix market.

Tempe location opens on Aug. 31. Tickets are available now.

Chandler, Gilbert locations will open on Sept. 3. Tickets not on sale yet, possibly tomorrow

Update: With the state's updated guidance, @HarkinsTheatres says all of its movie theaters in Arizona will reopen on Friday, Aug. 28.

New story to come, but here is my earlier story on what safety protocols guests can expect at Harkins, https://bit.ly/32tKeUg .
. @AMCTheatres has begun reopening theaters in other states, with more planned for early September. No announcements yet for Phoenix, but here is their market web page, which should be a good resource. I like how you can see the entire market in one glance, https://www.amctheatres.com/amc-safe-and-clean
Update: No official announcement yet, but @AMCTheatres’ website has been updated since I last checked. It says AMC’s theaters in Arizona will reopen on Sept. 3, which happens to be the release date for “Tenet.”
Also, shared this earlier, but adding to this thread: Doesn’t appear @FlixBrewhouseTX in downtown Chandler will be reopening right away. https://twitter.com/joshfrigerio/status/1299065934984835072
