I’m starting this thread to share screenshots from Shadow of the Colossus, one of the best games ever made and my personal favorite.

First things first: the work done by @bluepointgames is jaw-dropping. I can’t begin to grasp how much effort and care went into this remake.

The level of detail in the Shrine of Worship, the grass, the rocks, the sky, and everything else is incredible.
Sorry bud, one of us gotta go.
I still can’t believe how real the Forbidden Lands feel. It’s like I’m actually there. So much passion and effort was poured into these environments.

Moreover, the filters allow you to experience the game in a variety of visual styles. One even feels like a Zack Snyder film.
Very few games elicit that feeling of “oh crap am I really going to fight that thing?!”

Playing around with the photo mode allows you to capture the awe and tension you feel from these encounters.

Also, see how the distant lands are clearly visible as you climb to the head of the Colossus. It really adds to the sense of reaching a dizzying height.
7. I’m gonna add numbers to tweets to keep track of how long this thread gers

Anyway, with each colossus I’m still impressed by the level of detail going into the fur, armor, skin, etc.
8. Riding Agro across vast fields and exploring forests is a relaxing, almost meditative activity.

Usually games feature fast travel and use traversal to drop bits of exposition characterization. SotC is different: travel is enjoyed for its own sake.
9. Time to resume this thread with HQ screenshots.

Avion if one of my favorite colossi, and "A Despair-Filled Farewell" is my favorite battle theme in the game. It sounds like a requiem chanted by a rally of mournful observers, making the player feel guilt as he slays Avion.
