Open letter to Cloak and Dagger / Tyrandy: When I stumbled upon this show I didn't know what to expect at first. I was never into anything marvel or any superhero show for that matter, but cloak and dagger was so much more than that. I was completely shocked at what it turned out

to be. It was real. It was raw and grounded. It was unlike anything I've ever seen. It was unusual, intriguing, dark, and beautiful. It was something that you never knew you needed but so glad you found it. It was a genuine story before anything else.

It was a story of these two broken people who found each other in darkness. They were just trying to find their way in the midst of heartbreak and pain. They were two people who found a home in each other. They are two people who complete each other in every way possible.

Tyrone and Tandy had a connection so deep that is was otherworldly. Tandy, who's a fighter but under all that strength that she possesses, she still wants love and something to believe in. She still carries hope in her heart despite everything she has endured.

She still wants more for herself. Ty, who has become stifled in a way and shut down since his brother was tragically killed is now trying to function in a society that continues to target him, but through it all, he remains so strong and so gentle, and full of so much love.

This show is not afraid to discuss topics that most shows may shy away from. They're not afraid to discuss police brutality among young black men or show the dangers of sex trafficking among women and sexual assault/domestic violence.

This show also shines a light on the black mothers who lose their sons to police brutality and the scars that are left behind after it's all said and done. It's done in such a genuine yet heartbreaking way it's gritty and real as it should be. This is what those effects have on

the families left behind. This is why this show is needed because these stories are needed.

The relationship between ty and tandy played by Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt is the most beautiful thing about the show. It's the glue. Their love/bond and connection is so real. It transcends time and space. It's something that has revived both of them and as an audience member

watching them captivates me and it makes me emotional. It makes me and the rest of the world want more. I couldn't wait to see the relationship for the next season but unfortunately... you know the rest. It's something about watching a love story actually be developed

in such a unique and special way where you create true intimacy and a true bond where you learn each other the good and maybe even the not so good and you love each other through it and past it.

The kind of love where you lift each other up and honor each other and need each other in a way you've never needed anyone. They'll move mountains for each other and they bring out a light in each other that continues to shine brighter no matter the circumstance.

The chemistry and connection between Aubrey and Olivia is so magical, rare, passionate, and organic. Watching them on screen is so beautiful it almost feels like it's tangible. It truly is indescribable. I've never seen a love story done this way.

I honestly believe it was one of the greatest love stories ever told and it wasn't even done yet. They don't make true soulmates like that anymore on screen.

Cloak and Dagger is more than just a show, but I feel as if it's a cultural reset. It is great to see a young black man be a superhero and for young black boys to see this and feel inspired and represented and for once the circumstances are reversed.

Ty comes from the loving two parent household in the good neighborhood. Tandy is the one who is on the streets and has to steal to get by in the beginning. It usually doesn't play out that way in movies or television.

The impact that the show and tyrandy still hold to this day is insane. It's been cancelled for a year. I still miss it everyday. The show didn't even scratch the surface of what it was about to do. Tyrandy was the biggest loss. It would be a huge disservice not to renew the show

Chemistry like Aubrey and Olivia have don't come around too often. Real stories and a diverse cast don't come around too often. These two ppl who are trying to be the best versions of themselves while sorting through their own pain and trauma while fighting to be heard

and to live without fear and through the love they share they have become more than they ever imagined they could be. The sky is the limit for them they just so happen to have super powers, but who they are as individuals and their relationship is a masterpiece in itself.

The demand for cloak and dagger is still high. The impact with just two seasons can't be denied. This show means so much to not only me but so many people as do Tyrandy. I believe in this show and the relationship between ty and tandy it not only captivates the audience

but you just see real love that exists in a world full of chaos. Their love knows no bounds. Cloak and Dagger will take you on a ride but you're willing to go on that ride because you know it'll be worth it. It's a treasure and so is tyrandy so please don't miss out on it
