HAVING SCHOOL CHILDREN PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE UNITED STATES FLAG IS FUCKING WEIRD AND NO ONE CAN CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE

people in the comments who are trying to tell me it’s a good thing to have children as young as 5 pledging allegiance to a country.... need... help...

i’m sure those same people defending the american pledge of allegiance would have a lot to say if middle eastern children were forced to pledge their allegiance, or any other non-US country for that matter.

it’s indoctrination plan and simple. there is nothing to argue.

also, my mom was a school teacher and would never force her kids to stand, which helped when i’d get in trouble for not doing it.

i eventually got so tired of getting detention or sent to the office for not pledging my allegiance to a flag that i ended up just standing up with my arms on my side, & some teachers even had a problem with that!!! if that’s not fucking social conditioning i don’t know what is.
