@bchesky @Airbnb @AirbnbHelp The airbnb I booked for today was full of rat droppings, had no gas (so not hot showers, or cooking, we were not warned), and contained an unlocked trap door in the living space that led to a 12 foot drop into a literal pit, not to mention many other
Safety problems. I reached out to customer service and even though this was marked as urgent, they told me it could take anywhere from 24-72 hours for a response and rebooking help. I attached a video of the place below
Would also like to add there were broken windows, holes in the wall, an external lock on the door but no lock on the inside.
It has been over a week and still no help or progress from airbnb. I did not even outline all of the safety concerns in this thread but I will continue to now #airbnb #airbnbsuperhost #help #rippedoff
The host called me in the morning to request we were a mask while on the property. We did. When we arrived however the host was not wearing a mask at any point, talked to us for 45 min, and sat on the bed. #COVIDー19 #covid #mask #saftey
She also indicated multiple people would be in and out of the space for repairs during our stay. We had reserved an entire space. She also told us if we needed a hot shower or kitchen we could use her house #Army #airbnb #pandemic #horror
