a MEDICAL STUDENT (future doctor??) at UMN defaced the George Floyd memorial. We're supposed to trust him to wholeheartedly protect the lives of people of color, especially Black people? His name is Daniel Michelson and he needs to be expelled, and barred from medicine.

this is what he looks like, this is what he did. he claims he was "drunk" - what excuses will he make as a doctor for neglect of his patients?

I muted this tweet but I will say, for people who think i'm being "too harsh" on him - I'm not defaming him, he admitted his actions were racist when he was caught. I don't trust him in medicine, bc Black babies are 3x more likely to die under a white doctor. Lives on the line.

So if ur racist like Rudy and bringing this to be about how you think George Floyd deserved to die, instead of the health crisis Black people face due to the medical institution systematically failing them, I'm just gonna block you because you're dense.

if ur BIPOC, apply to SHPEP (minority premed/dental/opt/PT/pharm program that is free & great for ur resume cuz it's accredited by the AMA) and don't give up! you are needed in medicine!

this program seeks out disadvantaged students or those who seek to affirm underserved communities and gives them a leg up in applying to med school. I did it and it was amazing!!!
