Inspired by @MichaelBochel, I thought I'd take a look at how clubs announced the #PLFixtures this morning.

1⃣6⃣ graphics were rectangle
4⃣ graphics were square
1⃣3⃣ graphics included full lists
7⃣ linked to websites
𝘼𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙡

Standard full list form, but tweeted through twitter for advertisers to take up more real estate and encourage click-throughs to the website. https://twitter.com/Arsenal/status/1296356313203695616?s=20
𝘼𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙑𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖

Again full list of fixtures. Done in rectangle 1920x1080 with just text. For me, the font is a bit small. Posted on the website with no list of fixtures in the body text. Reliant on the graphic and hard to read without zooming in. https://twitter.com/AVFCOfficial/status/1296356842436800512?s=20
𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙤𝙣

Dividers make it clearer, as well as white on blue allowing text to stand out. I like the collage on the left - keeping strictly club colours with a yellow accent. https://twitter.com/OfficialBHAFC/status/1296356296007061506?s=20
𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙡𝙚𝙮

Good use of club colours claret and blue to distinguish home and away. Added Man Utd postponement for info to fans. Solid full list graphic with sans serif font makes it easy to read. https://twitter.com/BurnleyOfficial/status/1296356489330925569?s=20
𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚𝙖

No full list. Graphic promotes first game which links through to full fixtures at bottom of the page after a long FAQ article. I'd argue the full list is more important to communicate first. https://twitter.com/ChelseaFC/status/1296358575498027009
𝘾𝙧𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚

No info in this one, just a teaser whilst directing to the website to find out more. Fixtures are typed out in the body text of the article which is a plus for me. Added a full list graphic to thread 15 mins later. https://twitter.com/CPFC/status/1296356370355290112?s=20
𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙤𝙣

Again directing supporters to the website. Great carousel graphic in the article showing clearly month by month. Very readable good use of colour. Added a full list graphic to thread a minute later. https://twitter.com/Everton/status/1296356380555841537?s=20
𝙁𝙪𝙡𝙝𝙖𝙢

Rectangle and full list in black and white. No real graphic design element but club colours make it simple and readable. No link to website. https://twitter.com/FulhamFC/status/1296356298255028224?s=20
𝙇𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙

White and blue to match the kit. Could have made use of yellow as a third colour. Again no link to website but majority of their content is native to the platform only - seems to do well. https://twitter.com/LUFC/status/1296356298049503232
𝙇𝙚𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮

Just a graphic of the first fixture. Link to website with full list posted seconds later. First six games graphic 20 mins later. Full list graphic 3 hours later.

Forcing fans to go through the website to hear first. https://twitter.com/LCFC/status/1296356545639452672?s=20
𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙤𝙡

Again a tease and then direct to the website with a full fixture list in the body text. Top 4 opponents and Everton games tweeted <30 mins after. https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1296356479633678338?s=20
𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮

Full list. Sponsor in graphic and tagged in post. Opposition colours added next to fixtures but not obvious. Quite hard to read with small font and light blue on white - I would reverse the colours. https://twitter.com/ManCity/status/1296356293993730054?s=20
𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙

Square graphic which links to website. No teasers if H/A first game. Pinned tweet so stays at the top of their feed. Have to get through a body of text + a video from last year in the article to get to full list. https://twitter.com/ManUtd/status/1296356563792404483?s=20
𝙉𝙚𝙬𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙

Good use of colour but again text very small forcing people to zoom in. Small print bottom left not needed in my opinion but probably used to fill the space. https://twitter.com/NUFC/status/1296356351409639425?s=20
𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙

Club colours work well and make it readable. No link in the announcement but next post link to sync to phone which is a nice addition for supporters. https://twitter.com/SheffieldUnited/status/1296356309793677316?s=20
𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙩𝙤𝙣

Another twitter for advertisers post which creates a direct link to the website. Teases first game info in the post. Bold graphic which stands out. https://twitter.com/SouthamptonFC/status/1296356383173029889?s=20
𝙏𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙝𝙖𝙢 𝙃𝙤𝙩𝙨𝙥𝙪𝙧

Full list. White text always a winner, but the stadium image should be more faded so important info in text isn't interrupted. Rectangle but could make use of the space more - can't read unless zoomed in. https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial/status/1296356298817069061?s=20
𝙒𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙬𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝘼𝙡𝙗𝙞𝙤𝙣

Nearly perfect. Make bottom right photo smaller and more emphasis on full fixture list text. Good contrast in colours and neat use of 'Fixtures' text down the left side. https://twitter.com/WBA/status/1296360068653314048?s=20
𝙒𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙃𝙖𝙢 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙

Nice use of design down the left side. Could make use of the space more and make text bigger. https://twitter.com/WestHam/status/1296356293897224192?s=20
𝙒𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨

Very good use of club colours which work well together. Nice design on right but takes up a third of the whole graphic meaning text has been made very small. https://twitter.com/Wolves/status/1296356298729099265?s=20
Overall, it probably seems I've just complained about text size in the graphics 😅

To get around this I'd suggest a GIF carousel, like on the Everton website.

In Scotland, Motherwell's was quite unique and informative whilst easy to follow. https://twitter.com/MotherwellFC/status/1280048839890739201
