the phrase "money in politics" has always irked me, particularly when the definition is reduced to campaign donations. But capital strikes show how money confers undue political power:
I wasn't able to get into this in the piece, but capital strikes also show why class struggle is ultimately more important than savvy legislation. If the ruling class is exceedingly powerful, it can subvert laws to its liking. The antidote is a strong, organized working class
