re-normalize using the word “lying” instead of calling everything “gaslighting”

for the many of y’all who have no reading comprehension, my point is that the word “gaslighting” is being applied inappropriately to behaviors like lying, arguing, or even just disagreeing. it’s become a popular buzzword that gets misused.

gaslighting is an *interaction* where one person denies the other’s assertion of their own experience to make them doubt themself and become more easily manipulated. it can’t be one-sided and it plays out over time.
