Another 19 figs today. @llorenzin picked some earlier, and I just got back in from using the ladder to get a a few more high ones.
Today& #39;s fig harvest: another 2 dozen
Picked 34 figs yesterday evening. Thirty. Four. Had to get out the step ladder and perform some shenanigans while @llorenzin held it steady to reach a few of them.
Picked 41 figs this morning. (No, that& #39;s not a typo.) Due to busy schedules, we didn& #39;t get out to pick any yesterday which gave the tree an extra half-day to work it& #39;s magic. And work it& #39;s magic, it did.
I didn& #39;t get out to pick figs today because I was running in circles (just to prove I could), but @llorenzin got it done over lunch and picked another 43 (!!!) figs. https://twitter.com/llorenzin/status/1299372088642465794">https://twitter.com/llorenzin...
The figs just keep on coming! Picked another 40 this morning in the light drizzle.
Had to work the step ladder all up in the tree& #39;s business to get to some high ones. Left the ladder there since there are 3-4 on that branch that should be ready tomorrow.

Fig update: we picked another 44 this morning.
Our neighbor, @hejafred, has been giving us eggs for weeks, and it& #39;s nice to be able to give figs in return! #winwin
Also, here& #39;s a picture of our fig trees, with an @llorenzin for scale.

Today in fig news: we picked another 32 this morning.
There are a lot that are _almost_ ready, some of which have been in that state for a few days. I& #39;m watering the trees with a soaker hose today in case fig development is delayed due to to lack of water.

Tuesday fig update: 36 figs, including the 3 partial ones that birds most likely got to.
Last night& #39;s 1.8" of rain should make the trees happy and plump up more of the green figs.

New record for figs picked: 55
That includes a handful of partially eaten or minimally chomped figs, so feel free to round the total down by a few.
Looks like the rain overnight Monday made a difference.

Today& #39;s fig count: 31
Also: 4 Asian pears and 6 cups of wild muscadine grapes. And there are plenty more grapes to harvest, we just need to take a ladder out to the edge of the yard to reach the vines to shake them.

Fig production is slowing down: we picked 16 yesterday and 17 this morning. Turned on the soaker hose today to encourage more figs to plump and ripen. We& #39;ll see if that makes a difference.
Also… got 1 Asian pear yesterday and a dozen today. The increase today is from using a longer tool (a rake) to shake higher branches.
@llorenzin harvested a bunch of muscadine grapes. Besides our property, she walked the neighborhood and got more from neighbor& #39;s wild vines.

Our fig trees are definitely slowing down. Only picked 10 figs today.
Brought in another 6 Asian pears.
But the muscadines were there real winners: @llorenzin harvested 3.5 pounds!!! She used my rake trick to shake loose a lot more of the high grapes. https://twitter.com/llorenzin/status/1303045914509160448">https://twitter.com/llorenzin...

Picked 16 figs today. There were another 8 that were _very_ close but I left them to ripen and will get them tomorrow. (Hopefully, I& #39;ll find a time to go out and pick when it& #39;s not raining.)
Picked another 17 figs yesterday and successfully dried my first batch (about 50 from last week).
Also picked 10 pears. A few of them took damage when they fell from height after I shook the whole tree.
Oh, and there was an adorable bunny watching me as I picked pears!!!

Another 20 figs and 9 Asian pears today. The figs trees may have slowed down, but they aren& #39;t giving up yet!
Didn& #39;t get out to harvest figs and pears yesterday. I was planning to but delayed long enough that the evening thunderstorm thwarted me. (We got ~1.5" of rain yesterday evening and overnight.)
Today we picked 35 figs, 4 Asian pears, and another small bucket of muscadine grapes.

We got out to pick mid-day today while still sweaty after a great mountain bike ride.
Only 11 figs, 6 pears, and a handful of grapes. Season& #39;s not over, yet, but it& #39;s slowing down.
Here& #39;s another pic of our fig trees. The one with the 2 ladders up in it is the main producer.

Only 3 figs today… well, 4 if you count the one @llorenzin picked & ate earlier in the day. Fig season is basically over.

Got 7 pears by shaking the tree. Saw the bunny rabbit again & a cute little snake out by the pear tree. (Muscadine grape in snek picture for scale.)

No figs yesterday when I checked, but a few that were _almost_ ripe, & I got these 4 this morning… which we& #39;ve already eaten.

And with that, I& #39;m going to close out this thread. Thanks for joining me on our harvesting adventures!

Picked figs and pears today after being away for a long weekend. Got 19½ figs and 14 pears. (One fig was ½ eaten.) Not many pears left on the tree, but there are a few more figs ripening that will be ready over the next few days.
