15 years of Glazer Ownership:

A thread showing the true damage they’ve done to Manchester Untied:
Let’s start with the obvious:

The Glazers since taking over have removed around £1.8bn from Man United. This is the most money ever taken out from a football club. Compare this to Manchester City’s owners on the other hand...

People wonder why we’re falling so far behind
Underinvestment:

This graph here shows how much money United generated over a 9 year period compared to our premier league rivals. This shows that we generated almost double the next closest team in Arsenal

....
However, the issue is that 49% of the money we have generated has been spent on debt and interest, while just 32% has gone on improving the squad. Compare that to the proportional spending on players from our rivals like Chelsea (65%), City (64%) and Liverpool (54%).

...
Not only the premier league, United have the 3rd highest turnover in the world. We should be competing with Barca, Real Madrid and Bayern but instead we’re competing with Leicester city.
The graph below shows just how much the glazers have put us in debt over the years and just how long it will take us to get out of this mess. The debt currently stands at £511m as of Oct 2019
Failure to improve the squad:

It has become apparent over the years that as long as the Glazers get their CL money they are very content. This has resulted in some dire transfer windows. Some examples are below...
2009: Ronaldo sold for a world record fee. This wouldn’t be a huge problem if we went and signed someone like a Ribery or Kaka who were available at the time. But no, this was the solution to replacing Ronaldo 🤮
2013: It’s no secret that Moyes failed horribly at United. However, his 1 summer transfer window was a disgrace. Moyes was chasing Fàbregas and Kroos all summer but because Ed decided to take a holiday, we ended up with a last minute panic buy of fellaini. £27m spent in 1 summer
2018: after finishing 2nd to City, you’d think our owners would want to push on and challenge. However, the glazers answer to 2nd place was signing a CM from the Ukrainian league, a 19 year old RB and Lee Grant
Not only that, Mou wanted a centre back badly that summer, but our board decided it knew better than Mourinho and rejected 5 of his choices. One of them ironically was Maguire, who was deemed as “too much” at 60m. Ironic considering we spent £85m on him next summer 😂
2020: although the window isn’t over this year, we are 23 days off the new season and there’s been no sign of activity despite us needing to close a 33 point gap to Liverpool. Disgrace.
Compare this to the 4 years before the glazers came. We made Marquee signings in all summers including signing 2 of the best young talents around and other world class players
As well as this, the wage structure is all over the place. United have the highest wage bill in the league and have notably given stupid wages out to average players

Luke Shaw £195k a week
Brandon Williams earns more than Trent
Lack of success: Many people will be quick to say “you’ve still won stuff under the glazers”. True. However, Rooney left in 2017 (the last non Glazer signing) and since then we have not won a trophy in 3 years. Makes you think.
It is also notable that since Ronaldo left, United have competed in 1 CL SF in 11 years, which is a result of not improving the squad. To put it into context, RB Leipzig weren’t even formed the last time we won the CL and have made the same amount of SF’s over those 11 years
We’ve also allowed our 2 biggest rivals to dominate the league. City and Liverpool had 0 prems since the glazers took over. They now have 5 combined. They’ve also won the league for the last 3 years as well as a champions league...
Meanwhile we are celebrating doing the double over Pep and reaching 3 semi finals!!!!
As long as the glazers are here, this dominance is going to continue and no fan wants to see that. It’s time to make voices heard, but not just in the transfer window, it needs to be all year round. This didn’t happen last year
It’s time to get the Glazers gone and make voices heard and put pressure on them
