Here are some #bitcoin mining related tips I won't explain:

1) Don't invest bitcoins expecting to mine more than you started with.
2) If you have dollars to invest into bitcoin you are probably better off buying it than mining it.
3) Never pre-order ASICs.
4) Never buy the first batch(es) of new ASIC models.
5) If you can't mine profitably with used mining gear then you won't be able to mine profitably with the newest gear.
6) Avoid working with regulated utilities.
7) Don't build a brick-and-mortar Bitcoin mine if you can avoid it.
8) Build portable facilities if feasible.
9) Never buy from an unknown manufacturer / supplier.
10) Don't try to reinvent the wheel on your mine design, if you're not willing to do the research hire an expert.
11) Immersion cooling is almost never makes economic sense.
12) Try to avoid mixing ASIC models, stick with the same model if possible.
13) No, solar panels are not a good idea for mining.
14) No, air conditioning is not feasible.
15) Don't buy ASICs until your project is ready to fire up.
16) Use reputable firmware.
17) No, the sunshine is not significant enough to overheat a properly designed mine.
18) Have a means to dry out your hashboards before start-up if you operate in humid environments.
19) Avoid cloud mining.
20) Avoid shitcoin mining at scale.
21) Don't steal your neighbors power. ;)
22) Don't advertise your mining op without reason.
23) It's better to have a delayed project start up by waiting on ASICs than it is to have ASICs sitting waiting on start up.
24) If you mine in cold climates make sure to screen out snow. Fine, dusty snow can be a killer!
