A long time ago, I used to be against difficulty settings and accessibility options in souls-like games. Thinking “it’s just not made for them”. However… 2/5
After trying to share my love of these games with friends and mutuals who couldn’t play them due to disabilities or other reasons, I realised that it was more than just the game being affected by accessibility issues. 3/5
Accessibility issues were blocking access to social interactions, communities and genuine connections that these people wanted to make but couldn& #39;t. All because of something they had no control over, yet as developers, we do. 4/5
That’s why as developers it’s our job to acknowledge what impact accessibility can really have and how it can impact individuals much further than just not playing the game. 5/5
