People tell me "it's ridiculous to say the UK is the most corrupt nation on Earth. Look at Zimbabwe! Look at Nigeria!"

This is corruption on an industrial scale: the processing of everyone else's corruption. The UK is so corrupt that it is either quasi-legal or ignored by police and prosecutors. No brown envelopes of cash are required to make it work. It is woven into the fabric of our economy.

It is a perpetuation of colonial looting: the means by which vast wealth is siphoned out of poorer countries and into the hands of the super-rich. The big thieves in the nations we call corrupt are merely clients of the bigger thieves in London.

The UK's great and unequal wealth was built on colonial loot: the land and labour stolen in Ireland, America and all the colonies, the humans stolen by slavery, the $15 trillion bled from India. It is sustained partly by the money-harvesting of corrupt elites in poorer nations.
