gon’s sincerity and companionship changed a life. it elevated killua from his origins and helped him become the gentle and compassionate boy he was born to be. see how his eyes are brimming with life and feeling? this is why killua is such a pick me for gon.
someone convince me why thinking that knuckle should’ve died for projecting human pride onto his battle with youpi is wrong.
CA arc is about the transformative power of emotion/connection. how the bonds that tie ppl together can make them rise above their station or alternatively give into their worse instincts. a moving and deeply human concept.
gon remind of arya on the low. maybe this is why I stan?
meleoron chose to follow gon bc his rage and infinite capacity to adapt to his surroundings reminded him of ants. togashi, what am I supposed to do now that u killed me?
gon giving into his rage is both disturbing and cathartic. the pent up frustration at his own weakness we only seen glimpses of and reckless behaviour spill into one moment of confrontation with pitou. I’m blown away by the character building here.
going back on the knuckle commentary, obviously shoot/knuckle are serving the warriors bond. it’s nice how the arc unpacks the different ways devotion can manifest.
killua’s pick me antics in this arc.... someone give the boy some chocolate robots and a blanket, maybe he’ll calm down.
