carpal tunnel syndrome is mentioned enough in the artist community.. so i raise up CUBITAL TUNNEL SYNDROME & GUYON'S CANAL SYNDROME

it can be caused by leaning/resting on your arm or wrist for prolonged periods of time, repetitive movement, or trauma. it affects the ulnar nerve
im fairly sure this is what i have in my right arm & likely got it because i didn't even know these points existed in my body. i did everything to prevent carpal tunnel but not either of these. i have not once seen any information about these syndromes
the pain goes from my fingertips, through my wrist all the way up my arm to my shoulder. any movement hurts. my little finger's knuckle is ON FIRE along with that entire side of my hand and wrist. i can't rest my arm on anything without causing more pain from extra pressure
i think in my case it came more from resting my forearm on the edge of my desk and using my mouse consistently all day, rather than just drawing (but that still obviously adds to it). so even all of you who don't draw but use a mouse / type a lot be aware just as much
also i do want to add i do have a dr's appointment for mine this week & am managing it best i can during the meantime đź‘Ś my followers know that but anyone who stumbles upon this post wont
i don't ask for RTs often but i know there are probably so many people with this same pain and don't know why and/or are treating it like carpal tunnel (which doesn't help or may even be causing more damage) ... so please RT
i am muting this now but pls keep spreading & replying with any experience/tips you have đź’– thank you
since its been mentioned & asked : all carpal, cubital, & guyon's syndrome are NOT just pain. it can be tingling, pins & needless, soreness, swelling, inflammation, loss of sensation, loss of motor skills, etc.. be aware if you have any of that. it could still be a minor injury
carpal tunnel is similar symptoms but in your thumb, index finger, and middle finger
