hmm I think... I think I will do my thread explaining the popular Disgaes theory that Christo is Lamington now. Bc a few people have asked me about it and it is a theory I very much believe in so I want to explain it !

okay so to start I want to point out that this theory is so popular and has enough backing it that it is on both of their wiki pages ! also as mentioned by the wiki screenshot I sent, Christo’s age is exactly 7000 years less than Lamington in 5 which takes place before 1

Also as mentioned in one of the screenshots of the previous post, they share the same japanese voice actor! different english ones though.

The next point involves spoilers for the end of disgaea 5, where he talks about his new ideals (present in 1) & admits christo is a codename

to continue, this part of disgaea 5’s ending not only mentions that he does become the seraph (Lamington is the seraph) but also references the events of disgaea 1 that were put into place BY Lamington. They are literally talking about the entire story of Disgaea 1.

This next point was also mentioned in a screenshot earlier on, but their big attacks from both games are extremely similar. I need 2 tweets to post anf compare the videos, but here is the first one. This is Christo’s attack gospel of power from 5

and this is Lamington’s attack armageddon from Disgaea 1! They’re very very similar

ok so my last point on this (i think!) is that considering what christo’s character development is in disgaea 5, the theory just. makes a lot of sense. it makes sense he’d grow into that kind of person. his character development in 5 is just about him overcoming (1/?)

his internal prejudices against demons that are heavily ingrained into all angels/celestia and learning that demons are not inherently bad and angels are not inherently good & everyone is capable of being good or evil, and he learns this from bonding with his demon allies (2/?)

so what I’m saying is it just makes sense that he’d grow up to be one of the few angels to so heavily push for angels and demons to unite and accept one another and for angels to drop their prejudiced opinions against demons. he sets up the entire plot of 1 to make this happen

anyway i think i got everything ! feel free to lmk if i missed anything. this isn’t 100% canon but it’s very close to canon and heavily supported by canon and. hopefully there’ll be more to it in disgaea 6 as it’s suspected that disgaea 6 will take place between 1 and 5!
