We all know the *conservatives* that insist nothing’s happening, nothing’s gonna happen, Biden’s gonna win, Trump will be unprepared & have gained ZERO confidence by all they’ve seen.

Want to know why?

2/ *They’re superstitious*

Not in the traditional sense, but on a much deeper emotional level

I loved my two dogs more than anything other than my wife

For 10+ years I dreaded them dying. I kept telling myself - they’re going to die & you’re going to lose them. It ruined hours

3/ Sometimes DAYS of my life

Then, after 10+ years, our sweet dog died very suddenly. I’d never had - nor lost - a dog

I wept for 3 days, & the pain was unlike anything I’d experienced

(I love few people/creatures, but I love them with all I have)

& after the worst...

4/ ...of the mourning passed, I had an epiphany

I thought about all those hours I’d spent dreading the pain of losing our sweet pup

& the pain I’d imagined was nowhere near what the REAL PAIN was

Then I had a second & much more important epiphany:

5/ that I’d thought by thinking about their oncoming death, I was somehow bracing myself

SO IT WOULDN’T HURT SO BADLY WHEN IT HAPPENED

This turned out to be nonsense, & the cruelest trick I’d played on myself

You cannot trick yourself into avoiding pain/disappointment

BUT

6/ you can ruin years of your life & joy by living like that

Thinking that you can control your emotional pain by living in a state of constant negativity “so you’re never disappointed”

is SUPERSTITIOUS GARBAGE

Life is full of pain. Life is full of suffering. But you CANNOT..

7/avoid that by living in essentially a depressed, joyless state

This is what our defeatist Conservative friends are doing

I guarantee you the day after Trump wins the 2020 election, they’ll go RIGHT back to
- It won’t matter
- BO/HRC won’t be punished
- it’ll be undone in 2024

8/ Here’s the nefarious part; they’re sucking up your energy

They’re vampires

The more evidence I threw at them, the more they moaned. Like Liberals, no historical memory

Like Drew Barrymore in “50 First Dates”

***they start each day at zero***

So only 1 thing to do:

9/ Stop letting them suck up your energy

If Trump lost (he won’t) the disappointment, rage & sadness would be beyond imagining

You can’t avoid pain

But you can create pain by avoiding joy
