Hey @XRebellionUK, I've recently lost a lot of faith in you for many reasons, but this is really ridiculous.
Asking huge amounts of ££ for easily accessible, cheap materials will quickly alienate people living on a low income. Who has this lying around, especially in a pandemic?
Many people have suffered job losses or taken big paycuts during the #Covid_19 pandemic and nobody wants to give you £80 to buy some wood that I could find lying around in my garden. As a former fundraiser myself, trust me when I say this is not the way you should be doing this
To be clear: fundraising is just a current example of your failings as an organisation. As someone who used to be a local group member of yours, unfortunately your terrible decision making and lack of competent & informed leadership regularly shows.
To end this thread: I know there are people following me involved in XR & climate justice. So let me say that I'm a 19 year old, climate conscious, low impact, labour/green voting student who engages activity with environmental justice. I am not an old white dude having a moan.
