Being dark skinned isn’t even associated with femininity to many. So to even find love as a dark skinned woman, you have to be an over exaggerated caricature of what “feminine” is or someone will brand you full on, aggressive or just not treat you with grace and care.
Dark skinned women will struggle being treated with fragility, as though they can handle pain and problems. Even your tears are treated as though they’re aggressive. Now imagine being dark skinned, vocal w a lower pitched voice w bass? May as well tattoo MAN across your forehead.
You have to be crying all the time to even get an ounce of the respect you deserve. Having boundaries & demands, comes off more like “you’re telling me what to do” I think a study should even be done in how much people are willing to listen to someone depending on their skin tone
I have literally seen myself be ignored for saying the same things, same delivery as someone who is lighter. But it’s considered more “palatable” coming from them.

The whole “softness” of theirs makes them need saving which means they’re likely to be more protected, unlike a
Darker woman who is kind of on their own. No one can tell me this is bs, because I’m a very observant person. I’m not even one to like having colourist debates or discussions because it drains me but I am always watching things play out.
