My response to being cancelled: A THREAD
It has come to my attention that I have disappointed many with actions from my past and now people are #cancelling me so allow me to clear my name
I grew up in Ryazan, Russia in 1849. I grew up in a religious household; my father was an orthodox priest so you could imagine how #strict and religious we were. I did attend a religious school for a period of time but later enrolled in St. Petersburg
I intended to study math and physics. I never intended to be a #psychologist or even indulge in psychological research

ou can ask anyone, I was always a curious person and I could never help myself when it came to this curiosity. I was working in a lab and a lot of dogs were there. Dress code was obviously white coats. I noticed that they would salivate every time they saw a white coat. Why?
What was the cause of this? I took it upon myself to study this, alongside others of course. I know what I did was wrong. I could’ve tested on the dogs without ever abusing them. I treated them poorly and treated them as if they were replaceable
But without me, behaviorism wouldn& #39;t have gotten as far as it has now. And is it that hard to get my experiment right? I never used bells. Why does everyone credit bells? THEY ARE #USELESS
Im sorry. I didn& #39;t mean to lash out. But to finish this thread: I am sorry for the unethical aspects of my experiments. I grew up and worked in a time where this was never something we had to worry about. I will reflect on my actions and will learn to improve from this
Cancelling me for something I did decades ago is not a solution. I am no longer this person. I am better and I promise to continue to be. Thank you
