You know why I am pushy with my fave K-Pop artists and K-Drama? (a thread)

Have you ever felt you were right about one thing but nobody believed nor listened to you? Just because it’s not ‘their thing’?

I experienced that as a kid, when I watched my first Tagalized K-Drama (Lovers in Paris) and nobody around me wanted to watch it also because it’s not their thing. After that drama, other Korean dramas got imported to the Philippines to be Tagalized and everybody got into it...

...all at the same time, while I was at one corner thinking “but I thought y’all don’t like Koreans ”.

Oo bubog siya. Hahahahaha. Kaya medyo asar ako sa mga ngayon lang na-hook sa mga K-Drama gaya ng Reply 1988....

That “I told you so it’s good but y’all didnt listen to me ” feeling is so strong.

Same as with K-Pop. I got bullied in school for being a “K-Popper”. But now the same people who bullied me stan BTS, Blackpink, etc.

I say now, “K-Popper who?”

So now when people listens to SNSD or to Taeyeon and say “hey their music is so good!”, I’m like

“GIRL I’VE BEEN TELLING THAT THE WHOLE TIME BUT YOU DIDN’T LISTEN TO ME!!! ”

For the record: I AM NOT SAYING I AM CORRECT. Yes, you can this ‘superiority complex’, but can you blame me? Walang dumamay sakin nung naghahanap ako ng kadamay. Yun lang naman yun.
