racism in the “u.s.a” is rooted in antisemistism (a thread)

u might be thinking wtf? y? how? ok let’s dive into it

“and what do we do with jews?” the colonizers thought, “why let’s eradicate them/ use them for profit! in gods name!” as they quote a poorly translated bible verse

so to the settlers, BIPOC were lost tribes who also played a part in killing jesus. to the settlers, they were viewed as a lower class, a plague, a curse, as they view the jews.

white supremacy is of course tied to christianity. most settlers were christians and believed solely in the creation story from their bible. this includes the “12 tribes” of israel.

who hates the jews more than christians? i’ll wait. the idea that jewish people killed jesus still fuels antisemitic acts today.

so the settlers arrived here, thinking only for themselves. thinking that their “truth” must be all truth and that all people must have stemmed from their story

they found ties between jewish and native practices. the way both jews and natives follow the moon and stars, similarities between languages, symbolism, etc

they used these similarities and their own closed minds to make the conclusion, “natives and black people must be of the lost tribes of israel! that makes them jews!”
